David Greensfelder Leads Northern California Development
(Woodland Hills, CA) February 1, 2010 –- In less than two years, David Greensfelder
has led the development of more than half a dozen CVS Caremark real estate projects
in the San Francisco Bay area for the Northern California division of LandMark Retail
Group (LandMark), a subsidiary of NewMark Merrill Companies. Greensfelder is
responsible for the purchase, redevelopment and management of all retail projects in
Northern California for LandMark Retail Group.
Greensfelder opened the LandMark Retail Group's Northern Division in 2008, the same
year CVS Caremark acquired Longs Drugs' 541 stores giving the company immediate
category leadership in Northern California. Landmark's Northern California division
directs the site acquisition for the CVS Caremark expansion throughout the Bay Area.
Greensfelder manages the CVS Caremark and all retailer client relationships and
retailer representation in Northern California. LandMark Retail Group provides
development services to CVS Caremark, Chase Bank and other retailers throughout
California. In addition to strategic vision and site selection, LandMark Retail Group
provides due diligence, entitlements, project management and turnkey development
services for its retailer clients.
For 20 years, Greensfelder managed acquisition and development for developers
including Weingarten Realty Investors and for retailers including Longs Drug Stores,
Eatzi's and Super Crown Books. During his career, Greensfelder designed, entitled and
leased more than one million square feet of specialty shopping centers.
Greensfelder graduated from Pitzer College, a member of The Claremont Colleges, with
a degree in Business Economics. He has served the International Council of Shopping
Centers (ICSC) as Alliance Chairman, State Retail Chair and Program Committee
Chair. He is a frequent lecturer at the UC Berkeley Haas Graduate School of Business,
ICSC's University of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He serves
as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Affordable Housing Associates in the Bay
Area and is active in the ULI Urban Plan program.
